Decision No. 34 of 2014 Concerning Vesting the Military Intelligence Agency with the Capacity of the Judicial Police

The President of the State of Palestine

The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation

The Commander-in-Chief of the Palestinian Forces

In reference of the provisions of the Amended Basic Law of 2003 and its Amendments,

Having reviewed the Revolutionary Penal Law of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation of 1979,

The Revolutionary Procedural Law of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation of 1979,

The Law of Service in the Palestinian Security Forces No. 8 of 2005,

Based upon the powers bestowed upon me, and

In accomplishment of the public interest,

I hereby promulgate the following Decision:

Article 1

The Military Intelligence agency shall be vested with the capacity of the judicial police.

Article 2

All the competent authorities, each one within its sphere of jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decision, which shall enter into force as of the date of its promulgation and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Issued in the city of Ramallah on April 5^th, 2014 Anno Domini,

Corresponding to Jumada al-Akhar 5^th, 1435 Anno Hegira.
