Decree No. 20 of 2007

The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation

The President of the Palestinian National Authority

Having reviewed the Amended Basic Law of 2003 and its Amendments,

Based upon the letter of the Chairman of the High Judicial Council, dated June 11th, 2007,

Based upon the powers bestowed upon me, and

In pursuance of the requirements of the public interest,

I hereby promulgate the following Decree:

Article 1

The following Laws by Decrees shall be repealed because the Legislative Council has not adjudicated on them:

1. Law by Decree No. 5 of 2006 Concerning the Amendment of the Law on the Formation of Regular Courts of 2001.

2. Law by Decree No. 7 of 2006 Concerning the Formation of the High Criminal Court.

3. Law by Decree No. 8 of 2006 Concerning the Amendment of the Law of Penal Procedure of 2001.

4. Law by Decree No. 9 of 2006 Concerning the Amendment of the Law on Civil and Commercial Procedure of 2001.

Article 2

All the competent authorities, each one within its sphere of jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Decree, which shall enter into force as of the date of its promulgation and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Issued in the city of Ramallah on June 11th, 2007 Anno Domini,

Corresponding to Jumada al-Oula 26th, 1428 Anno Hegira.
