Concerning the Approval of Accession by the State of Palestine to the Arab Convention against Illicit Use of and Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation

In reference of provisions of the Bylaw of the Palestine Liberation Organisation,

The provisions of the Amended Basic Law of 2003, as amended,

Having reviewed the Arab Convention against Illicit Use of and Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, approved by the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior, in accordance with the Resolution No. 215, in its Eleventh Session, dated October 15^th, 1994,

Based upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, dated January 15^th, 2019,

The powers vested in me, and

In pursuance of the public interest,

I hereby promulgate the following Law by Decree:

Article 1

The accession by the State of Palestine to the Arab Convention against Illicit Use of and Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, which is annexed to this Law by Decree, shall be approved.

Article 2

All the competent authorities, each one within its sphere of jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this Law by Decree, which shall enter into force as of the date of its publication in the Official Gazette together with the original Convention.

Promulgated in the city of Ramallah on February 5^th, 2019 Anno Domini,

Corresponding to Jumada al-Oula 30^th, 1440 Anno Hegira.
